The Minister of Justice, Martín Soria, criticized the bill presented by the opposition to regulate the appointment of the president of the Supreme Court of Justice and took the opportunity to question Carlos Rosenkrantz.
“At this moment the Court decides who is going to be the president, the one who currently has it’s an embarrassment“, he affirmed in dialogue with Uncover. And he recalled that he was summoned to testify in a case for alleged pressure on the Indalo group.
Rosenkrantz, will testify in writing in the case for the alleged pressure exerted during the government of Cambiemos on the group of Cristóbal López and Fabián de Sousa, in which he was summoned as a witness by Judge María Servini.
“It is a very big stain for the highest organ of the Argentine Justice,” he added regarding the summons to testify from Rosenkrantz. And he insisted that it would be unwise to speak about who should be the head of the Court.
In addition, the national official argued that it is not appropriate for the Executive to regulate another power of the State such as Justice, in this case the mandate of the head of the highest court.
