The Granada ammunition factory buys Vadollano Polvorín in Linares for a production plant

The ammunition factory of Granada, of the Slovak Group MsmBuy the old military dusty of Vadollano in Linareswhere a production center provides with a hundred jobs in the short and medium term. The facilities were owned by a local business group, Dagasa projects and investments, which awarded it in 2022 in a public auction launched by the Ministry of Defense to a departure price of 220,650 euros. Since then, they indicate knowledgeable sources of the operation, there have been several offers for the property, composed of two farms with a total area of 894,759 square meters. It is located about seven kilometers northeast of the urban center of Linares and about 1,000 meters northwest of the Vadollano railway station.

Military Polvorín

It is a rustic terrain, fenced in all its perimeter that has an irregular slope polygon, in which a r were builted of roads and dependencies of its use as a powder magazine.

The enclosure, used as a dusty by the Army for decades until its Closing 2012is one of the 51 properties that the Institute of Housing, Infrastructure and Defense Equipment took auction in October 2021.

At that time, the City Council of Linares requested the suspension of the auction or even leave it without effect to proceed to its acquisition, but the petition was not attended and the procedure continued its course.

The Granada ammunition factory plan consists, in a first phase, in the recovery of old facilities (bunkers and usable polvorines) and in a posterior phase and already proceed to the construction of a manufacturing plant.
