Chamber of Deputies, statements by Prime Minister Meloni and vote of confidence in the government
The government orders the purchase of six Fiat Tipo
He announced it and did it: the government decided to favor Italian cars instead of foreign ones. So Giorgia Meloni, who had left the Quirinale to go to the funeral of Francesco Valdiserri – the 18 year old son of the two Corriere della Sera journalists hit by a pirate car in Rome two weeks ago – aboard an Audi, he chose to use only Made in Italy cars. Specifically, a Fiat 500 L to go to the Quridinale and an Alfa Romeo Giulia to go to Palazzo Chigi.
Now the strategic choice: to buy six Fiat Tipo and thus replace as many Ford Foucs. They will be hybrid-powered cars. A choice that was motivated by the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council, as reported by Tempo, as a “valid operational solution for the performance of the institutional transport service”. The choice of purchase was made on 21 October, the same day Giorgia Meloni received the task of forming the government. They are 1,500 cc models with 130 hp and were purchased through rental, with a three-year contract, for a total of 90,000 kilometers of mileage. The cost was 100.224 euros net of VAT. Their delivery is expected to be in July next year. It will not therefore be immediate.
