The national government, through the Ministry of Culture, launched a new stage of the ImpulsAr Program, which consists of an exceptional and extraordinary contribution to show culture live affected by the restrictions that were imposed in the framework of the coronavirus pandemic.
Through the Resolution 985/2021 of the Ministry of Culture, published this Thursday in the Official Gazette with the signature of Minister Tristán Bauer, a budgetary item of $ 125 million which will be destined to promote the development of circus, dance, music and theater productions in spaces, halls or premises with capacity for more than 300 seats in all the country.
As specified in the annexes to the measure, applicants must submit a schedule and details of the shows to be held between “the months of November 2021 and April 2022“where the hall, theater or venue must sign an endorsement and production commitment, with” a maximum of performances per project of six functions“.
The call will be open and will allow the nomination of both human and legal persons representing casts, bands, companies and / or producers.
Settle down three categories of beneficiaries that will be governed by the total capacity of the rooms enabled prior to the pandemic, assigning to each of them an amount per projected function, and in no case may the maximum consigned:
CATEGORY A: artists or producers who present a proposal for a function in a space, room or venue with a capacity of 300 to 500 locations. They will receive a benefit of $ 60 thousand per function with a maximum of up to $ 360 thousand.
CATEGORY B: artists or producers who present a proposal for functions in space, room or premises with a capacity of 501 to 1,500 locations. They access a benefit of $ 100,000 per function with a maximum of up to $ 600,000.
CATEGORY C: artists or producers who present a proposal to produce a function in a space, room or premises with a capacity of 1,501 locations onwards. They will have a benefit of $ 125 thousand per function with a limit of up to $ 750 thousand.
It is clarified that applicants must apply in a single category according to the capacity of the room or the projected functions, and regardless of whether the functions correspond to the disciplines of circus, dance, music and / or theater.
The profit may fully or partially cover the amount requested. For this reason, each applicant must indicate in their registration if it is useful to receive a partial aid and the partial amount.
According to what was announced, registration will start tomorrow and will run for 30 consecutive days.
Registration will be made through the platform https://www.somos.cultura.gob.ar/ and applicants must attach the documentation and information requested in the corresponding fields, detailing the name of the show and a brief review, the artists , the number of cultural workers linked to the project, the name of the room, space or property, the number of functions, with date and capacity enabled prior to the pandemic.
To access the program, applicants must register in the Federal Register of Culture.
The same human and legal person may carry out just one application.
The Ministry of Culture will review the documentation received and a jury of experts will carry out the pertinent evaluations in order to select the beneficiaries.
