The Government allocates 200 million in agricultural aid for those affected by DANA

The Council of Ministers has approved a line of direct aid worth 200 million euros for agricultural farms that have suffered damage due to the impact of DANA in recent weeks in the Valencian Community.

Likewise, in the new package announced this Monday, extraordinary aid is proposed to compensate for the loss of income among the affected farms.

As specified by the president himself, Pedro Sánchez, this aid comes to help farms that have suffered damage that prevents them from carrying out the next campaign normally or that have losses of their productive potential greater than 40%.

The Government has also launched another additional line of credit ICO-MAPA-Saeca, worth 60 million euros, for farmers and ranchers, as well as a program to repair agricultural infrastructure such as roads, terraces or irrigation systems. value of 175 million euros that will be executed by Tragsa.

This package of measures also includes a response plan to recover productive potential.. Cleaning, clearing debris and eliminating materials deposited by DANA will be carried out. There will also be massive replacements of sand, as well as repair of elements necessary for production.

Likewise, there will be extraordinary aid for the renewal of the affected agricultural machinery.
