The Secretary of Public Works of the Nation, Martín Gill, assured “in this year and eight months, even in the context of a pandemic and inheriting a very complex situation (high levels of poverty, inflation and indebtedness), the government of Alberto Fernández did in Córdoba much more than what Macri did in four years ”.
In radio statements, Gill explained this Thursday that in January 2016 “Macri promised works that he did not start and that we are starting. We had to reactivate those that were paralyzed and there were others that were going to pay through the Cordovan government and they did not do so ”. He also explained that “the national government did not receive a single active road work and today it has 20 projects under development in the Province. It is a profound change that materialized in all aspects that are analyzed ”.
“The clearest example of the attitude of the national government towards Córdoba is undoubtedly the situation that has occurred with the Retirement Fund: fulfilling the obligations that Macri had taken, the Achilles heel of the provincial administration, and that today thanks to that institutional contribution has a surplus, a situation unthinkable a few years ago ”, added Gill.
The national official who is presenting himself as a candidate for national deputy for the Frente de Todos, assured that currently “public works have the function of building federalism, narrowing the gaps that exist in the interior, advancing in sanitation policies and reactivating the routes for production and tourism, together with an infrastructure for early childhood care and health ”.
He also pointed out that in Córdoba there are active works in 340 municipalities “The sector governs and the political color that governs, neighborhoodists, radicals, Peronists, because the works belong to the people and cannot be part of the political cracks.”
He also stressed that these public investments “give health, build social justice and make a country more federal” and exemplified with the 250 actions that were carried out since the beginning of the pandemic in health matters, such as the construction of 12 hospitals, 31 prison hospitals, 14 border health centers and 20 tourist health centers.
