This comes amid successive defeats of the Houthi militia in Yemen, whether on the southern front or the Sanaa front, where the Giants Brigades on the southern front were able to advance towards the road linking Marib and Al-Bayda, amid the losses of the Iranian-backed militias.
Earlier, the forces of the Giants Brigades succeeded in advancing towards the “Marib – Al-Bayda” road, after they were able to clear the mountains overlooking Harib in Marib, and those overlooking the road between Marib and Shabwa.
With this progress, the Giants Brigades secured the vital road after hours of fighting that ended with the expulsion of the Houthi militias from all the sites from which they were taking a corridor to attack the road and bombard the villages of Ain Shabwa district.
And the defenses of the Giants Brigades managed to shoot down 3 drones of the Houthi militia in the districts of Ain and Harib.
It is noteworthy that the Harib battle, which was launched by the Giants Brigades forces in 3 military stages, is gaining its strategic importance as it is a key to liberating the governorates of Marib and Sanaa from the grip of the Houthi coup militia, according to military officials.
The Giants Brigades have been fighting, since last Tuesday, the fiercest battles with the militias on three fighting axes in the strategic Harib district, which is located on an important supply line linking the fronts south of Marib.
The military operation Harib began immediately after the announcement of control of Shabwa governorate, as part of the “Cyclone of the South” operation, and in conjunction with the launch of the “Happy Yemen” humanitarian operation by the Arab coalition.
Immediately after the liberation of Shabwa, the Houthi elements fled and were stationed in Harib and on the road linking the “Ain” district and the Ma’rib border.
