Today, the Plenary Session of the Consell has approved the first direct aid from the Valencian Government aimed specifically at companies affected by DANA. This is a call with a total amount of 100 million eurosof which the companies They will be able to receive a maximum of 30,000 euros.
As explained by the first vice president, Susana Camarero, the approved decree contemplates direct aid to maintain employment in companies affected by the floods in the province of Valencia. The call plans to allocate 5,000 euros for each company, in addition to an extra 1,000 euros per worker includedup to a maximum of 30,000 euros per signature.
Of course, companies will have to commit to maintain activity and employment until June 2025as Camarero explained after the first Council of the new Valencian Government after the remodeling decided by Carlos Mazón after the catastrophe.
As detailed, the aid is articulated in two lots of 50 million each one, one for industrial companies and another for commercial, service and tourism companies. As requirements, they will have to submit the request for compensation for damages to the Compensation Consortium.
The deadlines
The application period will open on November 28 and will remain until December 31. The granting of funds will be done in the order of request, according to the Generalitat, although Camarero has pointed out that the funds could be expanded.
Companies that had economic activity in operation on October 28, 2024 in the affected municipalities and that have suffered may benefit. material damage to your property located in warehouses, premises, establishments or spaces linked to the development of their economic activity.
Camarero explained that they are also working on a new aid package for the self-employed, which They would be added to the 400 million aid that the Generalitat has already committed to those affected. Thus, in the first package of measures, 200 million euros for affected individuals for the loss and damage suffered, in addition to 50 million euros for the affected municipalities.
Subsequently, 50 million euros were also allocated to rent aid for affected tenants.
In addition, the Consell has given the green light to several emergency contracts in social centers, treatment plants and roads that have been damaged by DANA.
