The members of the Gremi of the Catalan pages have reached an agreement with the Generalitat and distrust the mobilizations convened for this Monday. This has been announced at a press conference for various representatives of the sector after several meeting hours with executive representatives.
The pact achieved consists of 19 points that address issues such as the increase in resources for the control of hunting fauna (especially rabbits), administrative simplifications, tax improvements for professional farmers such as the reduction of hydrocarbons tax and successions.
Changes are also included in the drought plan, aids linked to climatic adversities and measures against robberies. Likewise, the commitment to hold a public debate on Mercosur and the creation of a bilateral commission to review the fulfillment of these agreements is incorporated.
This pact arrives a few hours after Salvador Illa announced a package of about twenty measures to reduce bureaucracy in the agricultural sector. He has announced it at the National Congress of the union union of pages, during which he has already assured that his Government has all the intention of reaching agreements with the sector.
Among the measures that will be approved in Tuesday’s Executive Council, highlights the elimination of the rate of the health certificate of animal movement in disease and the suppression of the obligation to maintain a fertilizer management book.
In this way the different slow tractors of tractors that had been convened for Monday have been distressed. It was a mobilization just one year after the great demonstrations and protests that the farmers starred in February 2024.
Even so, there has been a protest, which has been carried out before the pact between the pages and the Government was endorsed. By mid -afternoon, about twenty tractors have made a slow march in the Alt Urgell (Lleida) to protest against the problems of the sector.
The action has been carried out in two columns, one that has left from Oliana and another from Valls de Valira. The protesters sought to hinder traffic and create withholdings on two roads used for the return from ski slopes. However, 16 km of retention have been accumulated.
