The agency for the actor who plays Takayuki Yagami does not want the game to come out on PC.
Next September will arrive Lost Judgment, a sequel to Judgment, the game published in 2019 that emerged as a spin-off of the Yakuza saga and about which SEGA has high hopes. So much so that it will be the first game in the franchise to have a simultaneous worldwide release. But, at the gates of arrival, doubts arise about their future as we see in the Japanese magazine Nikkan Taishu -via the well-known insider Nibellion– where they tell us that a dispute between the Japanese publisher and the protagonist’s agency puts a stop to intentions.
It seems that SEGA and the agency will have to reach an agreement for the future of JudgmentApparently the root of the problem is that actor Tayuka Kimuta’s talent representation company you don’t want Sega to launch a port of the game on Steam. A somewhat incomprehensible decision. They indicate that this restriction is due to internal policies when their clients appear in various video games, and according to the account, their presence on PC could put Kimura in complicated situations. Some interests that collide with those of SEGA, which logically want to expand the saga as much as possible so that it reaches all audiences.
The publication goes further and points out that if this conflict is not solved, there would be no more installments of the saga in the future. At the moment, the agency is hiding the actor’s image in the media and they try to hide the actor’s presence in the media. And in fact they hide their image from the last one, as you can see in the presentation of the launch event of the first Judgment.
For now, what is certain is that Lost Judgment will be released next September 24 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, with new adventures starring detective Takayuki Yagami; Let’s hope that everything is solved so that the action saga can continue without problems in the future.
