The Board of Trustees of the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage, during its meeting yesterday chaired by Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Award, approved the launch of the fourth edition of the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage next July. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam said, “The Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage is a translation of the visions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at preserving the Arab cultural heritage and spreading the values of its preservation and methods of preservation, through which we aim to appreciate the various elaborate efforts exerted on The local, Arab and international level in the field of heritage preservation and documentation and successful experiences in order to ensure its continuity and spread the spirit of theoretical and applied scientific competition between those interested and workers in the field of scientific and field research in preserving and codifying heritage.
He pointed out that the meeting provided an explanatory and detailed explanation of the three main fields of the award, and the award’s timetable and jury members were approved and discussed the promotional plan for it.
