The jury values his work for Holy Week in the port city, of which he is now general commissioner of the Marraja Brotherhood and collaborator in several magazines dedicated to processions
The former older brother of the Brotherhood of the Santísimo and Real Cristo del Socorro Fernando Navarro was chosen this Monday Processionist of the Year 2022 in Cartagena, by the jury that the association that convened the award gathered at the Cartagena Officials Club. He did it under the presidency of the mayor, Noelia Arroyo. It is a recognition of a life dedicated to Holy Week, sources explained.
Navarro is now general commissioner of the Marraja Brotherhood, where he has held various positions. In addition, he is a contributor to various magazines and publications and participates in talks and conferences on Holy Week both in Cartagena and abroad. The event was also attended by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, and the vice-presidents of the Processionist Association of the Year, Jorge Madrid and Ginés Fernández.
In addition to Arroyo, the jury was made up of the Admiral of Maritime Action, Juan Luis Sobrino Pérez Crespo; the president of the Port Authority, Yolanda Muñoz; as well as the four older brothers and chaplains of the brotherhoods of Holy Week in Cartagena.
