Galuzin: Armenia has ceased to show interest in contacts with Russia
Armenia has ceased to show interest in contacts with Russia through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense, which is the result of pressure from the West. About this in an interview TASS said Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin.
According to him, since November 2023 there have been no meetings of foreign ministers, Yerevan has not shown interest in Moscow’s proposal to develop and conclude another plan for inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs consultations. In addition, through no fault of the Russian side, the dynamics of contacts between defense departments, as well as military-technical cooperation, have noticeably decreased.
“We see this as a result of pressure from Westerners who are trying to force Yerevan to minimize ties with our country,” Galuzin said about the reason for Armenia’s loss of interest in contacts.
Nevertheless, Moscow expects that the publicly voiced intention of the republican authorities to work to eliminate problematic issues will be translated into practice. Russia is ready for this. At the same time, the diplomat indicated that bilateral contacts between Moscow and Yerevan are not interrupted.
