Tomorrow, Saturday afternoon, the Dubai Water Canal in the Al Jaddaf region will witness a major marine sports event, with the launch of the 30-foot Dubai Rowing Boat Race, organized by the Dubai International Marine Club, as part of the marine races calendar for the 2021-2022 sports season.
The race brings together the elite of the local rowing boats, owners, and sailors, including citizens of the state, residents and people of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The race will be held at the Dubai Water Canal, which represents a smooth and ideal course, where the first half will start towards the finish line at Dubai Creek and Festival City for a distance of more than 2.3 km.
The start of the race will be preceded by the drawing of the lottery, in which the participating boats will be distributed in two rounds, one of which will carry the orange color and the other will carry the blue color. Ismail Jumaa, Obaid Al Hammadi, Saleh Al Shehhi, Nawaf Al Marei, Khalfan Al Zaabi, Salem Masoud, Nasser Al Mismari, Muhammad Ismail Al Falasi, Ibrahim Sultan Al Marzouqi, Ahmed Ibrahim Al Hammadi, in addition to Ahmed Al Busmait (Bahrain) and Hamid Al Bahri (Oman).
The organizing committee of the Dubai International Marine Club informed the owners and participants in the event of the instructions and conditions for participation, according to the regulations recognized since last season, with 9 people participating in each boat, including Skoni and 8 sailors (7 citizens and two residents of the country), The weight of the boat will be open.
