Guadalajara Jalisco.- the policy of austerity that the current president of Mexico boasts so much, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO)is an idea taken from the proposals made a decade ago by the newly born party Citizen Movement (MC)was said today during the second day of activities of the party’s national convention that takes place in Jalisco.

During his participation, the former national leader of MC and current coordinator of the caucus in the Senate, Clemente Castañeda, recalled how the party began and the proposals that would give identity to the then emerging party, which today already has the governorships of two of the three most populous states in Mexico: New Lion and Jalisco.

“Of course, Andrés Manuel and his friends have stolen our platforms and causes, so that you know, the first austerity and savings law in the country was made here, with the creation of the Citizen Movement, and that should make us feel very proud. , even if it hurts elsewhere,” said Clement Castanedawhile all his colleagues applauded enthusiastically.

It was highlighted that ten years after the founding of Movimiento Ciudadano, a clear idea is being forged for the 2024 elections.

Dante Delgadonational coordinator of Movimiento Ciudadano, spoke of the goals they have for the next two years and he said he is already looking at the next state that will be governed by a member of his party.

The MC coordinator highlighted at the event the role played by the current governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro Ramírez, by being the main face of the party before the citizens.
