Train a new managerial figure capable of planning, implementing, organising, coordinating and reporting companies' sustainable actions and projects in a digital context: the D-ESG IMPACT MANAGER. The first level II academic master's degree in D-ESG (Digital, Environmental, Social and Governance) and Impact Manager was born with this aim and starts from the University of Turin. A futuristic idea, conceived by the Management Department of the University of Turin and by FDC Consulting Digital ESG, a consultancy company that helps companies become sustainable, creating value, virtuousness and improving performance.
The intent is to create professional profiles capable of coordinating and managing D-ESG processes in a transversal manner, which are increasingly fundamental for companies aiming for long-lasting economic sustenance. “The objective is to train new figures capable of integrating knowledge and transversal skills with each other to oversee digital and ecological transformation, social responsibility and good governance in companies of any size and sector” explains Prof. Francesca Culasso, director of the Master. This is echoed by Dr. Francesco Di Ciommo, founder and CEO of FDC Consulting Digital ESG: “These new D-ESG professional resources within companies will have all the requirements to manage concrete activities related to the environment, social and good governance and being able to report to both the administrator and the stakeholders. These actions will have to transform into effects on the generation of economic value of the company and on its brand reputation”.
Lasting one year, the master's offering includes ten courses divided into twenty-five modules. Its teaching range is wide, consisting of managerial, legal, sociological, historical-geographical, IT, linguistic and pure science disciplines. Face-to-face and in person, the lessons will be combined with group work on company cases and the acceptance of testimonies always coming from the business world, which will lead to the application of the contents acquired through the completion of the mandatory internship.
“There are very few such complete and transversal master's degrees in the world, access to which is conditional on the payment of huge fees”, specifies Di Ciommo, who underlines his company's commitment and trust in this initiative: “FDC Consulting Digital ESG will contribute to 95% of the costs of attending the master's degree, because he believes strongly in the training project for these new professional figures”. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday 5 April 2024 at the Department of Management of the University of Turin.
