Pursuing an anti-Russian policy, the Baltic countries are doing everything to demilitarize them by Russia. This was announced on September 2 in his Telegram channel by Senator Andrey Klimov, head of the Federation Council Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty.
In his opinion, the actions of the “Baltic political gnomes” can provoke a big war in Europe. He recalled that for 260 years the states located on the territory of the Baltic states have pledged not to interfere with the transit from Russia and the construction of Orthodox churches.
“Now there is Latvia, which, together with Lithuania and Estonia, selflessly interfere with Russian transit, and indeed with everything Russian,” he stressed.
According to Klimov, the Baltic countries are doing everything for their demilitarization, he expressed confidence that Russia will be able to complete this task.
“The only problem is that the Baltic political gnomes can still provoke the fourth (from Napoleon to Hitler) big war in Europe. And this is not only a matter of their provincial choice, ”the politician drew attention.
Russia has the strength and means to join the fight against the “dangerous and multi-faceted external aggressor,” he added, stressing that he was addressing the question to the curators of the Baltic states from the United States.
“In 1945 they were among the winners only because they fought on the same side with us against a common enemy – Nazism. And now you want to support the Nazis of the 21st century by war with us? End badly,” he warned.
On August 31, it was reported that Poland, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia declared their readiness to take measures to restrict entry for Russian citizens at the national level, if a corresponding decision is not made at the EU level.
On August 29, the Baltic countries proposed to the European Commission their ideas on restrictions against Russia as part of the 8th package of anti-Russian sanctions. It is proposed to introduce measures in relation to trade, energy, as well as new restrictions on SWIFT.
On August 24, Latvian President Egils Levits noted the need to isolate members of Russian society disloyal to the state. Also, the Latvian President noted the growth of patriotism among the majority of Latvians in the past six months.
In mid-August, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that the anti-Russian campaign unfolding in the Baltic countries is being carried out not only with the consent, but also with the full patronage of Brussels and Washington, which turn a blind eye to manifestations of neo-Nazism in these states.
