About 1,500 compatriots reside in the country. For them the prices are not exactly low (from £ 57 upwards), but it is the opportunity they have been waiting for a lifetime
The blue segment will inevitably be tiny, but those hearts will beat much faster than the rest of the stadium. The Northern Irish Italians are preparing the evening they have been waiting for for a lifetime and patience if this should have been a simple catwalk without worries. The fact that it has become the last, very dangerous crossroads on the road to Qatar on the one hand is frightening, but on the other it exalts. The emotion of the Italian people who live in these parts is palpable. On social networks, in chats, in meeting places where our compatriots share their extra-work life. The numbers say that around 1,500 Italians reside in Northern Ireland, most of them here in Belfast. Of these, about 500 will show up at Windsor Park tomorrow evening with the hope of being able to tell, starting the next day, of having seen the national team fly to the World Cup.
Exhausted stage
–
The emotion is strong and will involve entire families. In fact, there are several Italian-Northern Irish families who will attend the challenge from the first to the last member. The stadium – 18,500 spectators – will be sold out, even if the home fans will experience the match with an understandably different approach, having long since no longer ambitions to qualify. However, at home, Baraclough’s greens not only never lost along the way in Group C, but they never conceded a goal either. In short, there is national pride to defend. Prices? For our compatriots from £ 57 upwards, not really free tickets. But for such an occasion, it’s definitely worth it.
