FC Barcelona continues to look for players in the market to reinforce the squad, especially at the offensive level, next January and two new names appear on the horizon: Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
As reported by the newspaper Sport, Chelsea is willing to negotiate the departure of one of its two players and also the footballers would not look badly out of Stamford Bridge for the remainder of the season in search of those minutes that until now they do not have with Thomas Tuchel.
However, the big problem for Barça when it comes to incorporating players is the delicate economic situation the club is going through, so the Barça team will try to find a loan. And from the aforementioned media they add that Chelsea could assess the option of paying a part of the player’s file until the end of the season, in case one of them ends up landing at the Camp Nou.
Both Ziyech and Werner could have more prominence at Barça since Xavi is looking for attacking players, preferably wingers, to be able to put his idea of football into practice. The coach only has Ansu Fati and Ousmane Dembélé in that position in the first team and the Moroccan from Chelsea would be the first option that Barcelona manages, without losing sight of the German striker.
Ziyech has participated in 13 games, five of them as a starter, in which he has scored two goals and has distributed three assists this season. Meanwhile, Werner has played 12, eight from the start, and has three goals and one assist between all competitions.
This would not be the first time that Ziyech and Werner are on Barcelona’s radar since in October the club had also initiated contacts with Chelsea to test the operation. From the aforementioned media they point out that in Barcelona they see the incorporation of at least one of the two players viable.
