The farewell ceremony for Russian actress Anastasia Zavorotnyuk began at the Intercession Monastery in Moscow. A correspondent reported this on Saturday, June 1 RIA News.
Hundreds of people came to the monastery and stood in long lines to say goodbye to their beloved actress. Colleagues are also present, including singer Lolita, Edgard Zapashny, Gennady Khazanov and others. Wreaths with memorable inscriptions and fresh flowers were sent by Andrei Malakhov, Alexander Mitroshenkov and the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.
After the farewell is completed, Zavorotnyuk will be buried in the cemetery next to People’s Artist Vadim Abdrashitov.
Anastasia Zavorotnyuk was born on April 3, 1971 in Astrakhan. The actress, married to businessman Dmitry Stryukov, had a daughter, Anna (born in 1996). Later, in 2018, the actress, being together with Pyotr Chernyshev, conceived using IVF and gave birth to a daughter – she was named Mila.
Zavorotnyuk became most famous for her role in the comedy series “My Fair Nanny,” which aired on the STS channel from 2004 to 2009. The artist admitted that she got into the project unexpectedly and did not expect to become famous. Zavorotnyuk also managed to take part in the projects “Dancing with the Stars” and “Marriage Games”.
The artist passed away at the age of 53 on Thursday, May 30. For several years, starting in 2019, she battled glioblastoma, or brain cancer. All these years, Zavorotnyuk underwent treatment in different clinics.
