The consumption of poultry meat can cause the development of cancer, British scientists have learned. Oncologist-chemotherapist Andrey Bazylev told about this on Tuesday, October 12.

Such diseases are caused by antibiotics and other substances that are used in the production of poultry products. Such preparations are needed so that the bird gains mass faster. It also provides a long shelf life for meat products, the doctor explained.
“There is no other data, but scientists have found that when eating more than 30 grams of white meat, there are some risks of developing cancer,” Bazylev added.
Consumers need to buy products that do not use chemicals in their production, the specialist summed up.
Earlier, on October 8, oncologist, candidate of medical sciences Anton Ivanov spoke about medications that can increase the risk of cancer. Ivanov clarified that with the consumption of drugs that contain estrogen, it is possible to develop oncological diseases. Among them are various contraceptives (oral contraceptives) and medicines that are prescribed to women with menstrual irregularities and to smooth out the disorders that occur during the onset of menopause.
