Finam analyst Alexander Potavin in an interview with the agency “Prime” advised not to convert dollars into euros against the backdrop of sanctions imposed by the West against Russia.
He clarified that at the moment it is difficult to predict at what levels the ruble will be even in six months. “After all, the current crisis is different from all previous ones, since its nature is non-cyclical. Now, because of the sanctions, we are dealing with a large-scale restructuring of the entire Russian economy,” the expert explained.
In conclusion, he advised to keep the previously acquired dollars and euros, given the high rates on deposits. Potavin also recommended to take a closer look at the purchase of shares of the largest state-owned companies in the long term.
Earlier, Grigory Sosnovsky, director of the regional network for working with wealthy clients BCS World of Investments, named the best alternative to the dollar. The expert believes that this is the yuan.
