The expansion and renovation works of the Cabueñes de Xixón Hospital, for an amount of 42 million euros, and the implementation of a prevention plan against argayos, for a value of 500,000 euros, are some of the main investments contemplated in the Principality’s 2025 budget project.
The accounts, which already have their approval guaranteed with the vote in favor of the deputy of the mixed group Covadonga Tomé, will finally amount to 6,664 million euros, 4.9 percent above the current figure this year, of which more than a thousand will be dedicated to productive investments.
Among them, stands out those that will be dedicated for 8.2 million euros for judicial infrastructure in different parts of the community and 5.8 million for actions in the old Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA).
The Principality plans to allocate 57.3 million to health constructions, such as 4.1 million to the new Pola de Lena health center; 2.9 million for the new Sotrondio equipment; and 2.2 million to the new Vega center, in La Camocha.
For its part, the Ministry of Education will have 6.3 million for the Nuevo Roces de Gijón public school; 673,200 euros for the La Grandiella Integrated Vocational Training Center, in Avilés; 3 million for the IES of La Corredoria; 2 million for the Montecerrado Special Education Center.
The expansion of the Cogersa biomethanization plant has an investment of 5 million, while the triage plant will have an investment of 3 million euros.
In addition, the Department of Ecological Transition will dedicate an expense of 6.1 million to the renovation of the Nora River interceptor.
Regarding investments in roads, the Government will dedicate 5.5 million to the unfolding of the AS-17; and different actions in the southwest of the community, where actions worth 2.4 million will be undertaken on the AS-217, between Tineo and Pola de Allande; 2.3 million in AS-14, in Grandes de Salime; and 2 million for the conditioning of the AS-12, between Boal and Doiras.
In addition, the budget project includes an allocation of 2.4 million for the installation of digital information panels in mountain passes.
The accounts also include 21 million for the improvement and modernization of livestock farms and another 6.6 million for livestock sanitation campaigns.
The Asturian Government will dedicate a sum of 7.1 million for the new model of care for the elderly and different investments such as 2.4 million for the adaptation works of the old Oviedo Maternity and Childhood building into a specialized ALS center.
Other investments highlighted in the budget project are 1.3 million for the El Cristo Technical Center and 735,000 euros for the Trasona Technical Center.
