One of the most popular events on the calendar, it promises another unique spectacle with fantastic action on and off the track. With four races on the 4,085 km track, the best NASCAR drivers in Europe will compete in the “Pure Racing” style of the best touring car series on the old continent. Fasten your seatbelts as we bring you all the important information about the 2023 NASCAR GP of Italy.
The Autodromo di Vallelunga Piero Taruffi is located about 40 kilometers north of the Italian capital, Rome. Inaugurated in 1951 as an oval dirt track, Vallelunga has evolved over the years into a fantastic circuit made up of 13 challenging curves. Its first asphalted track was designed by Formula 1 legend Piero Taruffi. The old oval is still part of the track with banked turn number 13, Roma, which leads to the starting straight. With Rome so close, Vallelunga is the perfect solution to combine a trip to the Italian capital with some great racing.
After the season opener at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia and the third and fourth rounds at the Indy Circuit in Brands Hatch, both championships will continue with the fifth and sixth rounds. In EuroNASCAR PRO, CAAL Racing star Gianmarco Ercoli leads the championship after a perfect win in the UK. Valencia race winner Lucas Lasserre and two-time champion Anthony Kumpen complete the top-3, while Marc Goossens and Martin Doubek complete the top-5. In EuroNASCAR 2, Vladimiros Tziortzis took it all in Spain and the UK to lead by 21 points over 2022 runner-up, Alberto Naska. The duo is followed by Paul Jouffreau, Gil Linster and Doubek. The Club Challenge will also be back in action for round two on Friday.
