The Committee for the Management of Emergencies, Crises and Disasters caused by the Corona pandemic in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi announced the update of the conditions for holding community events in closed and open places, in order to strengthen preventive and precautionary measures to preserve public health.
This update, which will enter into force as of December 27, 2021, includes reducing the capacity during weddings, funerals and family events to a maximum of 60%, provided that the number of attendees does not exceed 50 people in indoor and indoor halls, 150 people in open spaces and 30 people at home events. The precautionary measures previously in place to attend community events continue to be applied by highlighting the case of “green passage” on the application of the fort and a negative result of the PCR nasal swab examination not exceeding 48 hours, taking into account the commitment to wearing a mask and social distancing measures.
The Emergency and Crisis Management Committee in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi will intensify inspection and control campaigns to ensure the extent of adherence to preventive and precautionary measures, in order to preserve the gains achieved by the emirate in keeping the rates of infection with the Covid-19 virus low and thus ensuring the safety of community members.
On this occasion, the committee calls on the public to join efforts to preserve public health by avoiding crowded places, except when necessary, and to ensure that the muzzle is properly worn that covers the nose and mouth, in addition to adhering to the procedures for physical distancing and maintaining a distance of not less than two meters and ensuring that Wash and sanitize hands regularly. The committee also renews its call to receive a booster dose of vaccination, for the concerned groups, and to maintain the “green traffic condition” on the Al-Hosn application by conducting a nasal swab examination (PCR) in a timely manner.
