We chatted with Michelle Jenner, voice of Aloy in the Spanish edition of the Guerrilla Games and PlayStation video game.
Tomorrow, February 18, the first great PlayStation exclusive for this year, Horizon: Forbidden West, arrives in stores, and it does so by having its voices in Spanish once again, with Michelle Jenner repeating in the role of Aloy . Localization work has once again been exhausted, with more than 150 hours of dubbingalmost twice as long as Horizon: Zero Dawn, but always in a happy atmosphere.
This is how the actress herself told us in an interview with 3DJuegos, where we wanted to know how her experience with the Guerrilla Games video game has been.
With Aloy I try to contribute my warrior side, my fighting sideMichelle Jenner“It has been curious because when we were recording, on other occasions we did it in a traditional way: the microphone was on a microphone stand and you were in front. But in Horizon I wore headphones with a microphone hanging [de la cabeza] like the typical deep-sea fish,” Michel Jennner told us with a laugh. “This made it easier for me to be more active in the recording, reacting as Aloy would“.
“When I am in the dubbing room i’m enjoying itI get very much into the character. I try to bring my warrior side, my fighting side, “he added in the interview.
Jenner also explained in the interview the difficulties in locating a video game of the magnitude of Horizon: Forbidden West. “It’s very long to do this dubbing because you have to record many possibilities. Depending on how the player plays, the character will say one thing or another.” Exactly how many hours of work did it take? “It’s been more than 150 hours, but from then on I stopped counting. With the first game there were more than 80 [horas]. And here there have been more than 150 for sure.”
With all this, the Spanish actress guarantees players a really deep experience. “It’s not a game of hunting machines and points. It has a story that you can watch like a movie with popcorn, and you freak out,” added Michelle Jenner. Horizon: Forbidden West launches this February 18 on PS5 and PS4, and if you want to know more you can read the analysis of Horizon: Forbidden West already published on 3DJuegos.
