The headquarters of the territorial defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on Friday, March 4, announced the establishment of control over 36 settlements since the beginning of the operation.
“As a result of successful actions, control over 36 settlements has been established since the beginning of the operation. Active actions are being taken to liberate the cities of Volnovakha and Mariupol from Ukrainian nationalists,” the headquarters’ Telegram channel says.
It is also reported that on March 3, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, signed a decree stating that the liberated settlements, previously temporarily under the control of Ukraine, were included in the zone of influence and responsibility of the DPR regions. The document comes into force from the day of its official publication.
According to the decree, the administrations of the Novoazovsky district are subordinated on a permanent basis to: the villages of Pavlopol, Pishchevik, Shirokino, Primorskoye, Berdyanskoye, Vodyanoye, Lebedinskoye.
Administrations of the Telmanovsky district: the villages of Staroignatievka, Svobodnoye, Granitnoye, urban-type settlements Andreevka, Mirnoye, the villages of Kamenka, Novoselovka, Novoselovka Vtoraya, Chermalyk, Fedorovka, Stepanovka and Orlovskoye.
In addition, it is noted that the temporary subordination of settlements in areas whose administrative centers have not yet been liberated has been determined.
So, the administration of the Novoazovsky district is temporarily subordinated to the urban-type settlements of Sartana, Talakovka, the villages of Gnutovo, Kremenevka, Maloyanisol, Topolinoye. Telmanovsky district administrations: the villages of Rybinskoye, Trudovskoye, Vasilevka, Prokhorovka, the urban-type settlement of Donskoye and the village of Anadol. Administrations of the Starobeshevsky district: the villages of Viktorovka, Bogdanovka, Nikolaevka, Novognatovka, Bugas.
The headquarters also reminded that there may be explosive objects in the regions and settlements. Citizens were warned that it is strictly forbidden to approach suspicious objects and ammunition.
Earlier, on March 3, it was reported that intelligence fighters of the people’s militia of the DPR stormed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) in the village of Andreevka south of Volnovakha.
The situation in Donbass escalated on February 17, 2022. In the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DNR and LNR), heavy shelling by Ukrainian security forces was reported. The republics announced a general mobilization and evacuation of civilians to the territory of Russia.
On February 21, the heads of the DPR and LPR, Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to recognize the independence of the republics. The corresponding decrees were signed in the evening of the same day. Also, the Russian leader and the heads of the Donbass republics signed agreements on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance, which, among other things, provide for the right to build military bases on the territory of the parties and provide military assistance to each other.
On February 24, Putin announced the launch of a special operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass.
