A severe allergy and an allergic reaction to the components of the vaccine is the basis for the issuance of a permanent medical withdrawal from the vaccine. This reason for the medical withdrawal was named by the doctor Maria Ivleva, report “Arguments and Facts”.
The physician clarified that allergic reactions with any previous vaccinations can also cause a permanent medical withdrawal. A temperature above 40 after vaccination is also a contraindication to the introduction of a second dose of the vaccine, she emphasized.
“A doctor can initiate an immunological medical commission and draw up a permanent medical withdrawal,” Ivleva said.
She added that the medical branch has its own registration number at the institution in which the decision on the contraindication was made. This number is indicated on the COVID-19 vaccination certificate, she explained.
Earlier it was reported that healthcare workers in Russia will have to enter information about people with contraindications for vaccination against COVID-19 in a special database. According to the associate professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia Voznesensky, more than 10 percent of the country’s adult population can have a medical withdrawal from vaccination.
