The Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation and Investigation, Brigadier General Jamal Al-Jallaf, said that the Department of Diplomatic and Consular Affairs, which was established in 2010, has achieved many achievements in support of police and security work, and has strengthened communication and cooperation with various diplomatic and consular bodies, embassies, liaison officers, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
He added that the section was created with the aim of raising the level of coordination with consulates and liaison officers, especially in the field of international criminal cooperation, developing communication and cooperation relations in the process of exchanging information with diplomatic bodies in everything related to the affairs of their nationals in Dubai, responding to direct inquiries and topics received from diplomatic bodies and following them up with Public administrations and police stations in Dubai, and the department has achieved several positive results, such as creating a kind of community partnership with diplomatic and consular bodies, manifested in creating a partnership to educate its citizens and introduce them to the purposeful security culture, and inform them of their rights and duties and other matters related to laws, procedures and police services.
The head of the department, Lieutenant-Colonel Dr. Fahad Al-Zarouni, said that the department’s objectives serve the crime rate reduction index and the community happiness index.
