In recent days there have been a series of health events that have consequently reignited the red flags in the face of the advance of an implacable pandemic and to which we must get used to coexistence indefinitely.
A new dilemma has been generated, not only for the authorities but for the entire community, by taking care of and protecting the health issue or continuing with the economic reopening to counteract as far as possible the complicated contagion situation already suffered by more one year.
The crash has been devastating to the business movement, but the loss of life is even more shocking. It is necessary to accept once and for all the interrelation of both aspects, thinking otherwise has not worked.
It is essential to walk hand in hand in both aspects if you want to get ahead, finding a balance point is the most important and necessary thing to ensure growth in active sectors and in the reduction of infections due to the pandemic.
Avoid more business closings or the bankruptcy of others, as well as take care of jobs and as far as possible, the generation of new investments and sources of employment is ideal, but also seek compliance with health protocols by an increasingly relaxed citizenship.
It is also true that a year and months away, biological and biosafety actions have been discovered (nothing definitive) and very specific health actions and programs have been activated (with important shortcomings for its staff), to reverse a problem that has never been saw it coming or at least had such a negative impact.
A new ideal scenario is to combine the health issue with the economic one, seeking an interaction that benefits everyone and that manages to reduce the impact on development and health care.
Finding the point of union in a dilemma that we still have time to solve and provide the least possible damage in a still uncertain scenario.
…. It is up to us all
