The GP24 and GP23
It's no mystery that just to abandon the Honda HRC and get on one Ducati, Marc Marquez in 2024 he will get on the saddle of a one-season old Red. Clearly we are talking about a super competitive bike, the GP23 with which Francesco Bagnaia became world champion, with which Ducati won the constructors' title and the Prima Pramac team triumphed among the teams.
At the starting line of the new championship the Borgo Panigale brand will divide the supply of GP24 and GP23 equally among the 8 riders who will take to the track with its bikes.
On the GP24 in fact we will see Francesco Bagnaia, Enea Bastianini, Jorge Martin and Franco Morbidelli, while the GP23s will go to Alex and Marc Marquez, Marco Bezzecchi and Fabio Di Giannantonio.
What changes between the two bikes
During an interesting interview given to the Spaniards of Brandthe Ducati technical director Davide Baranaspoke in detail about the step forward made by the Borgo Panigale company with the GP24 in view of the new championship.
The engine
“For next year we will have a Better engine, with a little more power. Obviously after ten years of stable regulation, it is always difficult to find a few more horses. But this year we have achieved a good series of advantages, partly achieved thanks to the adoption of new fuels and the work with Shell. We were careful about preserve driveability of the engine and the Valencia tests went well, because Pecco noticed the increase in performance, with identical, if not better, driveability“
The aerodynamics
“As anticipated, we will have a new aerodynamic package in Sepang. You will clearly see the difference. It won't be anything we've seen before, but it will have some pretty obvious changes. In simulations gave us good results and will have to be confirmed on the track by the drivers.
In general There will be a much bigger difference between the GP24 and the GP23 than between the GP23 and the GP22..”
