The agency has reported that it will definitively stop issuing paper notifications on November 1, 2022, the date by which companies will be required to register with the Road Electronic Address (DEV)
The
General direction of traffic (DGT) has informed that it definitively stops issuing paper notifications on November 1, 2022 to all legal entities, that is, to companies. Thus, from this date, they will have to register compulsorily in the
Road Electronic Address (DEV). Whoever is not registered in said month, the administration will register him ex officio and will also notify him by this means.
This measure does not affect individuals since they are not required to have an email, so this is not the only way to notify a fine. But surely many do not know the procedure for downloading this notification channel, but it is essential to be registered correctly and manage the download of sanctions, especially for these legal entities; given that, if it is not done, there can be serious economic problems with the fines.
Thus, from Pyramid Consulting they detail that, since a notification is published through this new channel, they have a
maximum of 10 calendar days to download it. And watch out for this! If it is not downloaded within the term, it expires. If it expires, it cannot be downloaded and is considered to have been received successfully. When considered received, the deadlines to answer (10/20 days) begin to count.
At this point, if you do not answer within the deadline, a non-compliance/penalty is generated. And the
penalties can be up to triple of the amount of the initial communication and will proceed to the seizure by the Treasury.
Therefore, and to avoid headaches, it is best for companies to register with a few simple steps, give a
email as well as a mobile phone, and, when we have any traffic notification, we will be notified in this way. Of course, they are only warnings for
inform that there is a notification in the DEV mailbox, which is where the notification is available.
