Violence against women and girls is one of the most prevalent and widespread Human Rights violations on the planet. Acts of violence occur both in the domestic sphere, most of the cases by family members or couples, and in the public sphere. In addition, it has different ways of manifesting itself, from verbal, physical or sexual aggression, to psychological and economic. Forms of violence that do not identify age, nationality or socioeconomic status.
