Five Russian climbers fell from a height while climbing a mountain in Nepal
A group of Russian climbers died while climbing a man-eating mountain in the Himalayas. Five people set out on September 1, the sport ascent was supposed to end on October 5, but the climbers went missing. Two days later, their bodies were discovered at an altitude of 7,100 meters using a rescue helicopter. One team member survived by abandoning the climb and returning to camp.

On October 6, Alexander Dusheiko, Oleg Kruglov, Vladimir Chistikov, Mikhail Nosenko, Dmitry Shpilevoy, Valery Shamalo continued their journey. The latter soon became ill and decided to return to camp. There he contacted his wife. The rest of the group continued to the top of Dhaulagiri, but after a while contact with them was lost.
The bodies of the dead cannot be lifted from the abyss
According to Mash, the Russians were moving in a team, and at an altitude of 8167 meters, one of them fell and pulled the rest with it. Baza reportsthat the climbers fell from a height of 7600 meters. The bodies of the victims were allegedly discovered at an altitude of 7,100 meters using a rescue helicopter.
TASS with reference to the representative office of the company IAM Trekking & Expedition reports that the cause of death of the climbers was a fall from a height. No other details were provided there.

The surviving team member Valery Shemalo was taken to Kathmandu. In a conversation with Izvestia, he toldwho refused to continue the climb due to dangerous weather conditions. According to him, the group set out quite late; at night there was a strong wind that could knock them off their feet. Closer to 11 am, Shemalo’s comrades stopped communicating with the base. The man suggested that they could reach the top, but something went wrong on the way back.
