Admiral Moiseev: the corvette “Provorny” is planned to be transferred to the Navy in 2026
The Project 20385 multi-purpose corvette “Provorny” is planned to be transferred to the Russian Navy in 2026. The timing of the transfer was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Alexander Moiseev, reports RIA News.
“Today we talked about the future plans of this ship – of course, this includes carrying out all tests, both factory and state. We proceed from the fact that in 2025 all this will be completed, and in 2026 the corvette will be accepted into the Russian Navy,” he said.
“Provorny” received eight cells of a universal ship-based firing system, which allows the use of “Caliber” and “Oniks” cruise missiles. The ship’s arsenal also includes artillery installations, the Redut anti-aircraft missile system and the Package-NK anti-submarine system.
