The popular television show Crims presented by Carles Porta already has its own video game for mobile devices. The application is available today on Android and iOS and is the first title produced by the Catalan Corporation of Audiovisuals Mitjans (CCMA) –3Cat– as part of its strategy to enter the field of electronic entertainment.
Crims: Oberts Cases offers a total of ten fictional crimes that the player must solve as they overcome different mini-games that help them collect clues. The title has been developed by the company Cubus Games, a video game studio with more than ten years of experience and extensive experience in the genre of interactive adventure for mobile devices.
An affordable challenge
A video game for all audiences
The first case is available free of charge to all users, the next three are also free but require prior registration on the 3Cat platform and, finally, the remaining five cases can be purchased individually (0.99 euros) or through a pack (3.99 euros).
Available in Catalan, Spanish and English, the video game presents a series of challenges that are quite accessible to a wide spectrum of players, whether or not they have experience with similar titles. Through the touch screen, the user must solve logic challenges, puzzles, mazes and observation tests that allow him to gather evidence for the case.
Once the player has gathered enough evidence, they can decide whether to solve the case by trying to identify the guilty people, as well as other details of the crime. An interesting element is that the player can make mistakes in his conclusions, a characteristic that gives the game a replayability factor.
Crims: Oberts Cases It is a collaboration between the Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals (CCMA), the producers of the television program True Crime Factory and Goroka, and the video game development studio Cubus Games.
