In Australia, a couple in love decided to arrange an unusual wedding ceremony so that the mother of the bride could participate in it. About it informs Nine News.
Bridget Taylor and Paul Williams from Melbourne decided to tie the knot after 15 years of relationship. However, the 92-year-old mother of the bride, Daphne, would not have been able to come to the ceremony, since due to her health condition she is unable to move without assistance, even in a wheelchair.
Then the groom proposed to move the wedding to the nursing home where Daphne lives. The staff of the institution turned one of the premises into an ideal place for the ceremony, decorating it with a traditional wedding arch, rose petals and purchasing champagne for guests. Even the newlyweds’ dog took part in the celebration.
“It was a tough year, but we end it on a high note,” the groom said after the ceremony. He also thanked the nursing home staff for creating a festive atmosphere that surpassed all expectations of the newlyweds.
“Mom hasn’t seen us that often lately. It is very sad when elderly people feel unloved, ”the bride added.
Earlier it was reported that a woman from the UK found a way to attend the wedding of friends in Canada without leaving her home. She turned to the company that created her 3D hologram.
