The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, responded to a tweet published by Rolling Stones magazine where he criticized the lyrics of the song ‘+57’. Petro expressed on his social networks that “there is a cultural confrontation between the surface and the depth of the things that youth are waging in their neighborhoods.”
The Councilor of Bogotá, Papo Amin, came out in response to the tweet published by the president where he argued that defended the song and the attitude of the president arguing that “these artists make the country recognized for its music and culture.”

The singer Karol G has spoken out through a statement on her official Instagram account where she has assured that she feels ‘frustrated’ at the disinformation that has been generated as a result of the song. Furthermore, he has argued that “none of the things said in the song have the direction that they have given it.”
Despite these arguments, the winner of the 2024 Billboard Latin Grammy added that she still has a lot to learn, already showing her apologies.
