There is no doubt that the film industry is returning through the big door. This is demonstrated not only by the quality of the productions, but also by the performance at the box office. Thus, we have clear examples with the premiere of A place in silence 2, Fast and furious 9 Y Cruella, both of which have given Hollywood a sigh of relief.
That same line is what El Conjura 3 aims to follow: the devil made me do it. As detailed by The Hollywood Reporter, the third installment of the story starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga (Ed and Lorraine Warren, respectively) made an enviable $ 9.8 million at the US box office on Friday (day of its premiere).
Said collection raises the feature film a step above other projections, especially if it is taken into account that its reproduction does not represent an extra cost for users of HBO Max, a platform where it was released simultaneously with its arrival in theaters.
On the other hand, as reported by Deadline, Conjuring 3 has a projected goal of $ 23.5 million by the first weekend of its arrival on the big screen.
What is Conjuring 3 about?
The film introduces us to the Warren couple in a new paranormal investigation, which revolves around the case —real— of Arne johnson (nineteen eighty one), man who claimed to have committed murder due to demonic possession.
However, we will see a slightly different point of view, where the implication of Ed and Lorraine will be explored from a judicial perspective, supported by the investigations of the Police.
Where to see The Conjuring 3?
Although the film directed by Michael Chaves is available in various cinemas around the world, fans of the saga can also see it through HBO Max, at no additional cost to the monthly subscription.
For now, the service is not yet available in Latin America. However, it is known that their arrival in this part of the continent is scheduled for the end of June.
