All military science is located in Russia, and the chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, is the smartest strategist. This was announced on September 26 by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) Valeriy Zaluzhny in an interview with the magazine Time.
“I grew up on Russian military doctrine and still believe that all military science is in Russia. I studied with Gerasimov. I read everything he ever wrote. He is the smartest of people, and my expectations from him were huge,” he said.
Zaluzhny stressed that in his office there is a complete collection of works by the head of the Russian General Staff.
The day before, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Pais, said that at the beginning of the special operation to protect the population of Donbass, the Ukrainian authorities made many mistakes. After the end of the special operation, according to him, the time will come “to talk about all of them.”
On September 11, former American intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with Izvestia that the Russian side is showing proper restraint in making certain military decisions. In particular, maturity is the lack of haste in the issue of strikes on Ukrainian decision-making centers.
Prior to this, on August 23, Le Figaro published an article containing statements by Ukrainian nationalists who participated in the battles in the Donbass against the Russian Armed Forces. They stated the superiority of Russian artillery over Ukrainian.
In addition, on August 16, the American edition of the New York Times expressed the opinion that Ukrainian troops are not able to advance without huge losses. It was about the Kherson direction. Moscow’s superiority in artillery, ammunition and heavy weapons was noted.
