Natxo Lezkano, coach of the Movistar Students, has apologized publicly for the offensive comments spotted for a dead time of the LEB Gold League in which his team lost at home against Obradoiro by 90-73.
In that clash the cameras captured Lezkano telling their players in the course of the confrontation and while indicating them: “We cannot go on the track and run like ladybug. I shit in God.”
Through a few words disseminated by the club, the coach points out: “I would like to express my most sincere apologies for the inappropriate comment I did during today’s game. It was a moment of tension and it was not my intention to offend anyone. I deeply regret what happened and I reiterate my apologies to all.”
Social networks reactions have not been expected and have condemned the homophobic words of the enquience and even some followers have requested their cessation.
