The Copa America 2024 is about to begin and many Mexican soccer clubs will have several called up for the international South American competition that will take place in the United States this summer.
In the case of the two-time champion and Champion of Champions of Mexican soccer, Club América, there are three representatives on the preliminary list of the Tricolor (Luis Ángel Malagón, Israel Reyes and Julian Quiñones), the Mexican team will have three friendly matches between May 31, June 5 and June 8 against Bolivia, Uruguay and Brazil, respectively.
The Copa América will take place from June 20 to July 14, while the Apertura 2024 is scheduled to start on July 5, so if the Mexican team overcomes the first round, they would have at least four casualties to the first date of the tournament and that is without taking into account that the Aztec team continues to advance.
After those meetings, Jaime Lozano will announce the final list of 23 players for the tournament.

As already mentioned in the preliminary list of the Mexican team, the Águilas have three possible representatives.
Regarding the foreign players who could attend the continental tournament, there really aren’t many options, but none of the remaining teams have confirmed their squad.
Sebastian Caceres and Brian Rodriguez are an option to go with the Uruguayan team, the Chilean team could consider Igor Lichnovsky either Diego Valdes and the Paraguayan team Richard Sanchez. In the case of Alejandro Zendejas with the United States this has already been ruled out.
Therefore, in the absence of confirmation, the Mexican champion team could have up to eight players called up for the 2024 Copa América.
