He Equestrian Circle has once again become the artistic epicenter of Barcelona for a few days with By Invitation. The fifth edition of the gallery owners’ market has included the participation of 24 national and international galleries12 more than in 2023, and more than 80 artists represented with 1,500 works. An ambitious team that has achieved great visitor success with more than 9,000 visitors, 30% more than the previous year.
The initiative promoted by the president of the Equestrian Circle, Enrique Lacallehas not only gained in organicity – taking advantage of the development of the facilities of the historic private club – but has also enhanced the primary market galleries to bring the exhibition even closer to contemporary art.
An “exceptional cocktail”
Specifically, they have been present Path Gallery (Barcelona), Fernando Pradilla Gallery (Barcelona), Taché Art Gallery (Barcelona), Marc Domènech Gallery (Barcelona), Ana Mas Projects (Barcelona, Puerto Rico), Llamazares Gallery (Gijón), Arma Gallery (Madrid), Gärna Art Gallery (Madrid), Piramidon, Center d’Art Contemporani (Barcelona), Fuga Gallery (Barcelona), Pigment Gallery (Barcelona), Sorondo (Barcelona), Shiras Galería (Valencia) and Galería Ola (Barcelona), with proposals from contemporary artists, both established and emerging, such as Peter Halley, Jaume Plensa , Marina Vargas, Lluis Lleó, Charo Pradas, Rosa Torres, Miralda, Regina Giménez, Cecilia Paredes, Juan Escudero, Sergio Mora, Lena Laguna Diel, Sara Bonache, Rita Sala, Alsino Skowronnek, Cesc Abad, Antonella Aiassa and Elena Gual.
In addition, Il·lacions Gallery (Barcelona), specialized in contemporary designer design, has participated in the event with a special proposal. An effort has been made to ensure that both classics and modern works coexist in the selection of works, and special emphasis has been placed on the feminine presence.

In addition, the show has tried to adapt the offer to the pockets of all potential buyers. Thus, the price range has been expanded to capture young collectors or those with tighter budgets. In this way, visitors have been able to find pieces with values over one million euros but also works worth less than one thousand euros.
This edition of By Invitation has marked a significant turn with the artistic direction of Mariella Franzoni and the architect’s exhibition design Andrea Isola. Another novelty has been the magazine edition with exclusive interviews with leading figures from the world of art and collecting, such as Isak Andic, Sara Puig, Baroness Thyssen, Javier Lumbreras, Luis Bassat and Paco Celorrio. This editorial complement It has proven to be a reference tool for aesthetes and the curious, as well as a high-quality souvenir of the salon.
As usual, the event has once again offered a lecture series to bring issues of interest to the artistic sector closer to the public.
