The series promoted and organized by Suzuki in collaboration with the Emmetre Racing team is ready for a new intense 2022 season.
A fifteenth edition not to be missed structured on eight races. Eight prestigious appointments for the Suzuki Rally Cup in conjunction with some of the most famous and demanding rallies on the Italian scene.
Seven rounds of the Absolute Italian Rally Sparco Championship starting this weekend with the “Ciocco”, then it will be the turn of the selective asphalts of the Rallye Sanremo and those of the oldest round in the world at the Targa Florio. The races will continue at the Alba Rally, included in the CIAR this year, followed by the Rally Lana, a race valid for the Italian Rally Asphalt Championship.
This will be followed by the rounds of the Italian Rally 1000 Miglia Rally Due Valli.
The grand finale will take place in November at Liburna Terra, an appointment of the Italian Rally Terra Championship.

Suzuki protagonists at the Rally del Ciocco
At the Rally del Ciocco, twelve Swift cars will race for the important prize money offered by Suzuki Italia at the start of the trophy.
Two protagonists of last season are ready to propose themselves again from the first appointment in Tuscany: Igor Iani and Giorgio Fichera, both on Suzuki Swift Sport Hybrid.
The first, winner of the last act 2021 at the Rally di Modena, the young Ossola Iani navigated by Nicola Puliani of Turbomark will want to start the season well and will immediately aim to affect the race of the Sicilian Fichera, navigated by Ronny Cenni, who in 2021 second in the Tuscan appointment 2021.
But beware of the Trentino Roberto Pellè accompanied this year by Luca Franceschini, again on the hybrid version, of the Right 4.
Expected in the group of Swift Ra5H Naz. also the gentleman driver Matteo Giordano together with Manuela Siragusa, formerly of the Suzuki family, who participated in the first race in the very first single-make edition.
The Tuscan Gianandrea Gherardi will also aim for the best possible result, passing from the classic aspirated version to the hybrid version, together with Matteo Modenini.
Also to be followed is the young Alessandro Forneris from Canavese, sailed by Luigi Cavagnetto already featured in the 2021 edition, always with the colors of Meteco Corse.
Passion and desire to race will be the goals of Marcello Sterpone, another gentleman driver flanked by Giancarla Guzzi who will try to have his say, on the Hybrid version curated by Alma Racing.
The parterre of the trophy present at the Ciocco will once again count on the presence of the home driver Stefano Martinelli. The Lucchese, flanked by Fabio Menchini, with Novara Corse will compete for the special ranking dedicated to Racing Start where the Milivinti brothers Massimiliano – the youngest – and Marco, from Savona, the 25-year-old Lorenzo Olivieri with Riccardo Barbero at the notes and the Danilo Costantino from Savona together with Alessandro Parodi, another bishop of Meteco Corse.
In addition to those registered for the Suzuki Trophy, Marco Ambrosio will be present together with Pedro Coppi on a Swift 1.6 VVT Sport 3P on the occasion of the Tuscan rally.
Program 45th Rally del Ciocco and Valle del Serchio
12 special stages, 120 km timed divided into two stages, with the first day starting at 2.15 pm from Il Ciocco Pattinaggio, with arrival scheduled at 7.15 pm at Il Ciocco Parking 2.
Among these three specials, Sassorosso, Puglianella and Careggine 1, the final stretch of Massa-Sassorosso will be the televised Power Stage that will be held, an unprecedented event for the Il Ciocco rally in recent years, on a path outside the Il Ciocco estate.
Also on Friday 4 March, the technical checks and punches are scheduled for all the other members, while the shakedown on the Gallicano-Molazzana track is scheduled from 8:00 to 12:30, an activity that slightly precedes the start of the rally.
The second stage will start on Saturday 5 March at 8.30, arriving at 17.00, again inside the Il Ciocco estate, after having played nine special stages, three to be repeated twice, Massa-Sassorosso, Careggine, Renaio and one, Il Thick, to be replicated three times.

– Suzuki Swift Sport Hybrid set up with the specifications of the National Hybrid Rally5 Technical Regulations, with epicyclic differential (Quaife), standard electronic control unit (ECU) and original six-speed gearbox.
– Suzuki Swift BoosterJet 1.0 Fiche n ° 0042 set up with the specifications of the R1 Group.
– Suzuki Swift Sport 1600 fitted with the specifications of the national R5 Group.
– Suzuki BoosterJet 1.0 (Swift / Baleno) with Racing Start specifications.
All models are light and robust, very sensitive to tuning and have characteristics that enhance the driving skills and sensitivity of the pilots and reward the most skilled crews from time to time. To even more uniform the level of performance, all the cars of the Suzuki Rally Cup will have to mount the same Toyo tires in the asphalt races.
