The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, will be reported on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case into the murder of two children in Yekaterinburg. This was reported on Monday, March 27, in the department’s Telegram channel.
“On the evening of March 25, 2023, the bodies of two boys, born in 2015 and 2018, were found in a house on Levanevsky Street in the city of Yekaterinburg, with signs of violent death. On this fact, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder of two minors”),” the posted message.
In addition, the head of the department instructed the acting head of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region, Anatoly Nadbitov, to report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case and the established circumstances.
As the head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region, Valery Gorelykh, said on March 25, the message about the death of the children was received on Saturday evening. Local media speculated that the children’s mother, who later committed suicide, may have committed the murder. The father of the family was at work during the tragedy.
