The General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) will hold an ordinary plenary session on Wednesday where it is expected to agree on the call for a total of 51 positions (distributed in the Supreme Court, the National Court, the Superior Courts of Justice and the provincial hearings) for fill 111 vacancies, after serving more than five years.
The Qualification Commission has submitted to the Plenary Session a series of agreements, which are expected to be ratified to continue filling these vacancies, as stated in the agenda.
These are 16 positions in the Supreme Court: 11 in the Contentious-Administrative Chamber and 5 in the Social Chamber. In the National Court, the CGPJ plans to begin with the Presidency, the presidencies of the Criminal, Social, Contentious-Administrative and Appeal chambers.
Regarding the TSJ, the Commission sends 20 agreements for the provision of places, including several presidencies in those of Aragon, Asturias, Andalusia, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Catalonia, Extremadura, Murcia, Valencia, the Basque Country,
La Rioja, Castilla La-Mancha and Castilla y León. Finally, it is proposed to call for a dozen positions to fill vacancies in various provincial audiences.
