The Catalan Film Academy will activate the commission to address the accusation of harassment of filmmaker Eduard Cortés

The photographer and director Silvia Grav was the one who denounced on her Instagram profile the treatment received by Eduard Cortés when she was 19 and he was 55. According to Grav, the filmmaker He exercised “abuse of power”, “labor manipulation” and “grooming”.

Silvia Grav has reported on her social networks that Eduard Cortés promised her help within the sector: «I had some intuition and never met in person although he insisted. “I am 1000% sure that I am not the only one, four years of continuous sexual advances are a pattern, not an isolated case,” she denounced, adding that Cortés has deleted the Facebook account from which she sent these messages. «His profile was Gato Del Cerro. If you know more stories of someone who has gone through something similar, let me know, it can be anonymous, thank you,” he said.

So far, Grav has stated that the complaints from 15 other female victims who have written to her telling her their stories. The photographer has also announced that they are organizing to decide the best way to make the complaint. «If we had not reported it online first, we would never have understood the magnitude of the matter. We would never have met each other. We are waiting for the cases to stop coming so we can report them all together. The truth is that we are not enough,” she wrote on her profile on about sexual violence.

Eduard Cortés is a member of the Academy and, following the entity’s internal protocol, they will launch the commission, while the Mossos d’Esquadra have informed Europa Press that they have no evidence of no formalized complaint.
