The judges of the third criminal section of the Genoa Court of Appeal will decide on admissibility
For the case of the disappearance of Roberta Ragusa, the hearing on the request for review of the trial was set for next December 5th. The hearing was presented by Antonio Logli’s lawyers. The judges of the third criminal section of the Genoa Court of Appeal will decide whether or not the request for revision of the sentence is admissible.
A new hearing will be held at the beginning of December in the case of Roberta Ragusa. There Court of Cassation has already established that her husband Antonio Logli is guilty of the death of the woman, who disappeared in the night between 13 and 14 January 2012 from her home in Colle di San Giuliano Terme, near Pisa.
The woman was 45 when she did lose track of herself. Roberta Ragusa’s body has never been found: the woman left two children and her husband, with whom it is said that things were not going well. And according to the judges of her it was he who took her life.
Antonio Logli was sentenced to 20 years in prison, with a sentence confirmed in 2019 by the judges of the Court of Cassation. They condemned him for not only taking the woman’s life, but also for hiding her body. That has never been found.
The man has always said he was declared innocent, even from the cell where he is from the sentence. Defenders recently announced that they intend to petition the trial for review Court of Appeal of Genoa, because new elements would have emerged.
Roberta Ragusa, the hearing requested by the lawyers of the woman’s husband will be held on 5 December
Anna Vagli, part-side technical consultant of Antonio Logli, last January spoke of a key witness who could question the whole accusatory system, to overturn the sentence of Roberta Ragusa’s husband.
Furthermore, new elements would have been identified after an inspection in the attic of the family.
