After Misano and Mugello, two exciting first stages for the battles seen on the track, the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia rekindles the engines in Imola for a third round whose forecast is already scorching heat. It will be a determining factor from Friday to next Sunday for the challenges, already hot of them, among the protagonists of the tricolor mono-brand, this year permanently above 30 subscribers.
And in fact on the Santerno circuit there will be 33 drivers on the hunt for precious points for their respective rankings, with all those registered for the entire season present. The pre-race test on Thursday is not foreseen, as Imola has already hosted the pre-season one in mid-May, the prestigious 911 GT3 Cup single-make will restart the engines directly on Friday, when the weekend will open with the dispute of the test session free, on stage from 14.50 to 15.50.
Saturday the key day begins with qualifying: start at 10.30 for the half hour of PQ1 and from 11.05 to 11.15 with the top-12 admitted to the final session (PQ2) who will decide the pole position and complete the starting grid for race 1, which starts at 17.10. Live TV on Sky Sport Action, Sky channel 206, and commentary entrusted to Guido Schittone.
The Imola weekend ends on Sunday: at 1.15 pm race 2 will start, broadcast live on Sky Sport Arena (Sky 204) and free-to-air on Cielo (digital terrestrial channel 26). Both races will also be available in live streaming in HD on the official website www.carreracupitalia.it.
