The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in all 208,871, equal to +9.088 compared to yesterday (+5,513 the day before), and exceed 200,000: a figure like this, over 200,000, had not been there since June 4, when the epidemic was slowing down, while now it is not.
The swabs and the scenario
THE total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 679.462, or 105,687 more than yesterday when it was 573,775. While the positive rate 2.5% (the approximation of 2.47%); yesterday it was 2.6%. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.
More infections in 24 hours than yesterday. The curve is expected to be at the weekly peak of its swing: last week its highest point occurred on Thursday 25 November, when they were recorded. 13,764 new cases with a 2.1% rate. And the trend remains on the rise, as shown by the comparison with the data of 25 November (the same day last week).
For six consecutive weeks – declared Nino Cartabellotta, president of Gimbe – new weekly cases have continued to increase with a daily average more than fivefold: from 2,456 on October 15th to 12,345 on November 30th. According to the monitoring of the Gimbe Foundation, all parameters are growing on a weekly basis (November 24-30): + 25.1% new cases compared to the week before (it was + 27% in the previous report), + 14% deaths ( was + 8.7%), + 13.7% hospitalizations (was + 15.8%) and + 22% patients in intensive care (was + 16.4%).
